These are corporate philanthropy initiatives where a company matches charitable gifts made by employees to eligible nonprofits — in effect, doubling (or sometimes more) the impact of your donation.

What if my employer isn't listed in the lookup tool?
If you don't find your company in the search results, it may mean your employer doesn't offer a matching gift program, or the program isn't listed in the database yet. You can still reach out to your HR/CSR department for confirmation, or ask them to consider setting one up.

Is my donation still eligible if my employer matches it later?
Yes, as long as your original donation to Switch Energy Alliance meets your employer's criteria (time-frame, nonprofit type, minimum/maximum amounts), you can submit a matching gift request afterward. Be sure to keep your gift details handy.
