Final Results of the 2024 Switch Competition!

2024 Switch Competition Concludes with Outstanding Global Participation and Innovative Solutions

The 2024 Switch Competition has officially come to a close, marking another successful year of dynamic and inspiring contributions from young minds worldwide. With 145 teams representing 34 countries and supported by 152 dedicated volunteers, this year's competition was a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing global energy challenges.

On November 9th, finalists gathered virtually for the Final Judging Round, where each team presented a five-minute summary of their case studies, followed by an intense 10-minute Q&A session led by our esteemed panel of judges. Each presentation was met with rigorous analysis as judges probed into the details of every proposed solution. After careful consideration, the results were announced:

• 1st Place: Team Energy Nexus – Awarded $10,000
• 2nd Place: Team Quwa – Awarded $7,000
• 3rd Place: Team Dream Team – Awarded $5,000
• 4th Place: Team AKA Energy – Awarded $2,000
• 5th Place: Team Entensification – Awarded $1,000

Social Media Contest Winners

This year, participants also competed in a Social Media Contest to increase engagement and share their insights on energy issues. The following are winners of this year’s Social Media Contest:

Looking Ahead

All winners of the 2024 Switch Competition are invited to collaborate with Switch Energy Alliance in growing our programs and enhancing future competitions by applying for a 2025 internship. This collaboration not only strengthens our programs but also broadens the reach of our mission to create a more energy-educated world. Application details will be sent to all eligible 2024 Finalists in January.
