This year’s Switch International Energy Case Competition is officially underway! On October 2, the SEA team released the 2023 Case Packet, unveiling the competition prompt and guidelines that will challenge participants to harness their creative and critical thinking skills.
Whether you are an undergraduate/graduate student, an industry expert, or an academic professional, there's still time to be a part of this transformative experience. Registrations for both student teams and volunteers will be accepted until October 5 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
This year's competition prompt promises to be intellectually stimulating and impactful as participants will delve into energy poverty scenarios in two distinct countries. The challenge is clear: teams must evaluate the energy situations in a country pairing, dissecting the root causes and identifying the barriers that hinder access to energy for millions of people. Participants will also be tasked with devising a comprehensive 10-year plan for one country in their pairing, studded with groundbreaking strategies and solutions aimed at eradicating energy poverty.
