Conference Attendance by the Switch Team

Last week, the Switch team attended two separate conferences to build partnerships for an energy-educated future.

Our Executive Director, Korina Smith, attended the Giant Screen Cinema Association Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee to showcase our museum film Energy Makes Our World. The conference was attended by museum programmers, distributors and filmmakers from around the world. Energy Makes Our World is a 5-minute film suitable for museum visitors of all ages that demonstrates the wonder and importance of energy. It is currently receiving broad support at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. We are excited to expand our distribution to Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, NC, Exploration Place in Wichita, KS, and the Papalote Museo Del Nino in Monterrey, Mexico. In addition to the GSCA conference, Switch Energy Alliance just returned from Shale Insight 2022 in Erie, PA. Our booth in the Exhibit Hall allowed us to promote unbiased energy education and share information about Switch Classroom, the International Switch Energy Case Competition, our documentary films and new PBS talk show series, Energy Switch. The conference presentations addressed energy issues such as manufacturing, technology, environment, conservation and sustainability. Sarah Jane Todd, Manager of Operations, and Meghan Morgan, Curriculum and Product Lead, enjoyed the opportunity to network with industry professionals and encourage corporate engagement.
