On March 29, 2023, SEA Senior Fellow Dr. Helge Haldorsen presented at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs Business School’s Salem Center for Policy.
Attended by both UT faculty and students, Dr. Haldorsen spoke about the energy transition and the dual challenge - providing affordable, reliable, and accessible energy for all while protecting the environment.
Dr. Haldorsen used an assortment of graphs, images, and gifs to frame the energy transition, and its key players, using an energy poverty lens.
Haldorsen expertly used historical, scientific, and pop culture analogies to connect, engage, and effectively communicate a highly complex topic to audience members.
A UT Austin alumnus, Dr. Helge Haldorsen received his Ph.D. in Reservoir Engineering. He has also been active in the energy industry for over 40 years with broad and deep expertise in the energy ecosystem and energy transition.
