Dr. Helge Hove Haldorsen gives first SEA talk of 2023

On January 25th, 2023 SEA Senior Fellow Dr. Helge Hove Haldorsen spoke at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Workshop at the University of Texas at Austin.

Over the course of the SPE workshop, representatives from the entire energy ecosystem gave presentations on how to best address the challenges facing the energy transition in the coming decade.

Dr. Haldorsen’s presentation focused on the dual challenge facing us today: energy access for all while protecting the environment. He stressed the importance of not forgetting the 2.4 billion people that live without affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy while addressing the challenges of the energy transition.

He further stressed the need for critical thinking, civil dialogue, and factually complete energy education, as a just energy transition is a complex problem to solve.

Dr. Haldorsen has multiple talks scheduled for the beginning of 2023. Follow us on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube) to stay up to date with all of Dr. Haldorsen’s presentations.
