The presentation was titled “An Honest Conversation About Energy, The Economy, And The Environment.” The event was bicameral and bipartisan with senators from both political parties in attendance.
Dr. Tinker highlighted the progress that has been made in the U.S. electricity transition. “The CO2 emission reduction goals of the proposed 2015 Clean Power Plan (CPP) were met in 2020, one decade ahead of schedule, without the CPP,” said Dr. Tinker.
The Pennsylvania Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is led by Chair Gene Yaw and Minority Chair Carolyn Comitta. The other committee members are Joe Pittman, Jake Corman, Ryan Aument, Scott Hutchinson, Scott Martin, Elder Vogel, Lisa Boscola, Katie Muth, and Steve Santasiero.
