Switch On brings the world into your classroom by traveling to the remote corners of the globe to meet the communities who live in energy poverty- the lack of safe, reliable, and affordable access to energy.
Our Teacher Advisory Council, composed of seasoned educators, has developed Viewing Questions and Synthesis Questions suitable for grades 9-12 that will engage your students with energy poverty’s impacts on literacy and education, water and food supply, communication, healthcare, the economy, and women’s rights. The Switch On Viewing Questions and Synthesis Questions will open your students’ eyes to value their own prosperity while introducing them to different cultures and ways of life. Switch On is suitable for science, geography, health, social studies, environmental studies classes and more.
