The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) hosted a webinar with Dr. Scott Tinker and Switch Energy Alliance Executive Director Lenae Shirley.
Lenae Shirley led a Q&A with Dr. Tinker about SEA’s new documentary Switch On. Specifically, Dr. Tinker commended everyone at EDF for their collaboration with different sectors of the energy industry.
“You [at EDF] recognize development is going to happen, so let’s do it in a really good way environmentally and work with the businesses and the governments and academics to do it as well as possible,” said Dr. Tinker.
The Environmental Defense Fund is a United States-based nonprofit environmental advocacy group. EDF is known for its work on issues including climate change, ecosystem restoration, oceans, and human health, and advocates using sound science, economics and law to find environmental solutions that work. It is nonpartisan, and its work often advocates market-based solutions to environmental problems.
Lenae Shirley formerly served as Associate Vice President of Clean Energy at EDF before joining SEA as Executive Director in May 2020.
