SEA Announces 2021 Switch International Energy Case Competition Winners

Congratulations to the 2021 Switch International Energy Case Competition winners!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the second annual Switch International Energy Case Competition. Over 900 students from 37 countries participated in the competition with the help of over a hundred energy professionals who volunteered as mentors and judges. Here are the winning teams:

• 1st Place: Urjaffinity (India)

• 2nd Place: Energy Caribbean Alliance (Colombia)

• 3rd Place: Print('Energy') (Algeria)

• 4th Place: Energizers IIII (Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt)

• 5th Place: ZAAS (Egypt/UAE)

Congratulations to the winners and their mentors, and thank you to the three finals judges, Rob Stoner, Lorena Moscardelli, and Amod K. Pokhrel! The winning teams will be featured on SEA's website, in SEA’s newsletter and on SEA’s social media channels. The 25,000 USD in prize money will be split among the five teams as follows:

• First Place – 10,000 USD
• Second Place - 7,000 USD
• Third Place - 5,000 USD
• Fourth Place - 2,000 USD
• Fifth Place – 1,000 USD

The five winning teams will also be contacted with more information about how to apply for an internship opportunity specifically set aside for Case Competition finalists. The Switch International Energy Case Competition is brought to you by Switch Energy Alliance with additional support from Chuck and Cathy Williamson and the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
