Statement on Texas Power Outages

Our thoughts are with all the families affected by the severe cold and the power and water outages in Texas and the greater region.

As with most major catastrophes, many things compounded to cause failure in the system. Rather than finger-pointing, we must work together to consider the costs and benefits of future scenarios and seek viable and improved solutions.

We at SEA are facilitating conversations among regulators, policy makers, industry, and academics to secure an affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy future.
