In a dedicated effort to revolutionize K-12 education and promote energy literacy, Switch Classroom has begun a strategic conference tour, showcasing our innovative online education platform to educators and school districts across the United States.
At the California Science Education Conference held in Palm Springs, CA, TAC (Teacher Advisory Council) members Jim Corboy and Lynn Kistler represented Switch Classroom with enthusiasm and dedication. They interacted with educators from California and beyond, sharing Classroom resources and delightful teacher swag. Their presence not only highlighted the platform's offerings but also initiated meaningful conversations about the future of energy education in K-12 classrooms.
On October 25, Switch Classroom's Curriculum & Product Lead, Meghan Morgan, joined TAC Lead Lynn Kistler and SEA Chairman Dr. Scott Tinker at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. Dr. Tinker's enlightening presentation set the stage for Meghan's engaging discussion on Switch Classroom. Addressing an audience of over 300 middle and high school teachers, students, and Pennsylvania State Senator Gene Yaw and his team, Scott and Meghan encouraged critical thinking about energy-related topics. By putting Switch Classroom in front of Pennsylvania teachers and decision makers, the team sparked discussions that could shape the future of energy education in the state.
Switch Classroom's commitment to empowering educators and students extends beyond these events. The platform continues its outreach efforts by participating in the North Carolina Science Teacher Association Professional Development Institute in Winston-Salem, NC, November 3, and the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching in Houston, TX, November 9-11. These engagements provide valuable opportunities to connect with educators, share insights, and foster collaborations that enhance energy education in schools nationwide.
Switch Classroom invites educators, administrators, and education enthusiasts to join them at these upcoming conferences to explore the platform's features and learn about the impactful ways it can enrich the learning experience for students.
